IBM – WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance is secure Hardware Appliance that optimizes the configuration and deployment and management of WebSphere cloud environments. It ships with WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Hypervisor Edition. WAS runs top of Linux (Suse) operating systemand all this is packeged in virtual machine according OVF standard. It allows users to self-deploy WebpShere environments. I can see that this will be very useful in development and testing environments.

IBM muuttaa "sub-capacity" -lisensointia

IBM muuttaa sub-capacity eli kapasiteetin alentamisen lisensointia. Tuettuja / hyväksyttyjä virtualisointialustoja on jatkossa myös Citrix XenServer 4.1 ja 5.0 sekä Microsoftin Hyper-V Server 2008. Notes Traveler 8.5 deployment

Some experiences from Notes Traveler deployment.
We currently have 18 Notes Traveler users. All are using Nokia phones.
Majority of users have Nokia E71 phone. We also have Nokia E51 , Nokia
E66 and Nokia E90 devices. I have experimented with older Nokia E61 phone
which worked OK but I prefer using my Nokia E71 phone 
Most of the users are migrated from
other commercial push email solution but we also added some new users since
Notes Traveler comes free with Lotus Notes. We started with deployment
with Traveler version 8.5.0.0 and moved to version 8.5.0.1 (Interim Fix)
last week. I would recommend using 8.5.0.1 Interim fix with Domino Server
and Traveler Nokia client S60 (8.5.0.1
Interim Fix LO39030) or
waiting until fixpack 8.5.0.2 is released. Large scale deployments you
probably want to consider using certificates based authentication instead
of username/password (at least you can lock out users with wrong password
attempts with Domino 8.5 and I suggest that you enable internet password
lockout feature). Only major complaint is lack of support for Domino Directory
sync and/or look-up’s.
