Espoo, Finland – Nokia and Dopplr announced today that Nokia has acquired Dopplr Oy, a privately-held mobile service provider for international travelers. Dopplr has a team of seven people with offices in London and Helsinki. The Dopplr team brings to Nokia’s Services unit unique know-how in creating internet-based communities and showing their journeys, experiences and tastes collectively on the web. The acquisition does not change the current Dopplr service which is available at Dopplr.com and on platforms where Dopplr is integrated.

My Blog has not been very active during the summer time due to vacation and the fact that I have started to blog most of the Lotus related content to Finnish Lotus User Group Blog (in finnish). 

IBM – WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance is secure Hardware Appliance that optimizes the configuration and deployment and management of WebSphere cloud environments. It ships with WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Hypervisor Edition. WAS runs top of Linux (Suse) operating systemand all this is packeged in virtual machine according OVF standard. It allows users to self-deploy WebpShere environments. I can see that this will be very useful in development and testing environments.
